Daleville High School is proud to sponsor chapter #2876 of the Tri-M Music Honor Society!
The purpose of the organization is to foster a greater continued interest and a desire for excellence in music performance; to encourage appreciation and awareness in listening to music; to promote wider opportunities for sharing joy through music both within our school and within our community; to advance the spirit of good music and musical knowledge; and to enhance the reputation of our school as a center for musical enrichment.
The Tri-M Music Honor Society, a program of MENC: The National Association for Music Education, recognizes music students for their efforts and accomplishments in music on the basis of musicianship, scholarship, character, leadership, and service to their school and community. Invitation to this honor society is based on these principles in addition to an "88" or above overall scholastic average. The organization’s high standards serve to challenge students to greater effort and achievement and to encourage the pursuit of excellence.
Within our school, Tri-M sponsors school-wide dances, trips to see professional musicians, gives private lessons, and provides part of the student leadership back bone that our musical programs rely upon.
